When on, most of the animations and motion across the site are turned off — helpful if movement feels distracting or causes discomfort. It follows your device’s setting to begin with; this switch overrides that either way. Read the accessibility statement

Accessible by design

for everyone

Accessibility starts in the first sketch. It’s in the markup underneath, the colours I choose, the way things move. However you’re reading this, it should just work — here, and on every site I build for a client. WCAG 2.2 AA is the benchmark.

Motion is a big part of how I design. It’s how a page reveals itself, how a hover feels, how you know something’s happened. But it should never be compulsory. If your device is set to reduce motion, this site already knows. There’s also a switch on every page, and it overrides your device either way — turn motion off whatever your device says, or turn it back on if you’d rather have it.

I haven’t had this site independently audited. If something here doesn’t work for you, tell me. Email man@horton.studio, or the contact form. I’ll look at it properly and let you know what I’ve done about it.
